PANDADAM TO PAPPU

Pandadam ,pandi = to ripen . .pandadam also means to sleep. . .
Pandinchadam = to cultivate ,to raise . .
Pandu = fruit . . ,pandutaaku = an old leaf. . .
Panduga = a holiday or feast . ,festival. .
Pandugoppa = a species of codfish. .
Panthamu = a vow . .
Panthulu = the name assumed by most brahmins, when they get into employ .it means something superior to the common people ,something like our word mister. Panthulu is also the meaning among the indians for a school-master or preceptor. .
Pandi = a hog , ,adavi pandi = a wild hog . . ,pandi pilla = a pig . .pandi thoda = the quarter of a hog . .voora pandi = a village hog . .pandi arupu ,gaandrimpu= to grunt as a hog. .
Pandi kokku = bandicoot .this animal seems to be between the pig and the rat in appearance ,having the head very like a pig and making a grunting noise like the pig .the body is like that of rat. .
Pandiri = this is the name of a covering made of leaves or other materials ,to keep off the sun and serve as a shelter from the weather. Europeans call it pandaal. . Pandem = a stake or bet. . .
Pandepu kodi = a fighting cock. .
Pandem veyyadam = to lay a wager . . .
Pappu = gram or other grain ,prepared by being first roasted ,then bruised and the husk removed ,in which state it is boiled up and eaten with rice by the indians .some times it is given dry to horses, or mixed with sugar ,for children,when it is called = pappu bellam . .
