PADIDE TO PATHYAM

Padide = borrowed clothes ..it is a common practice ,amongst people in india who are not very rich ,but are desirous of appearing well dressed,to enter into bargains with the washers,to supply them with other people's dresses,for the use of which the wearers pay the washers from two to six rupees at the end of the year. . Padishemu ,padisham ,rompa ,jalubu ,sardi = a cold in the head. . Padukovadam ,padukuni= to lay down ,to recline . Padukovadam means also to go to sleep.. .
Padugu = length ,as contrasted with breadth,in the measurement and weaving of cloth . Peka is the breadth . Noolu padugu = length of the thread in weaving . Mancham padugu = length in lacing a cot .so also for the breadth,when you say peka . .
Paduchu = applied to women. .,paduchudi = a girl or young woman. .when applied to women it is used as a substantive . Paduchu vaadu = a young man.. Paduchuthanam = youth or time of youth. . Paduchukovadam = to go astray ,to visit men. This word is applied only to women..
Pathakam = the medal. .
Pathram = a bond . .pathram rayadam = to execute a bond. . .
Pathiwratha = a constant ,chaste female .it is a sanskrit compound meaning devotion to the husband. .
Pathyam = diet . .pathyam cheyyadam = to undergo a regimen
