Nooka ,nookalu = the name given to grain , when half ground .it is generally termed rolong by europeans in india . . Godhuma nooka = wheat rolong . Biyyapu nooka = rice rolong . ., . Pesara nooka = green gram rolong . ..and so ,of other grains. . . Noone = oil ,in the state when prepared for use . .kobbari noone = coconut oil. . Jeedi noone = the marking-nut oil . . Aava noone = oil of mustard . .
Nooradam = to bruise ,to grind down into a mash. .
Noorchadam = to thrash . In india thrashing is performed by bullocks in the open air . A spot is cleared from dirt and hardened ,in the field where the grain ripens, the grain is thrown up on it in loose heaps and bullocks are turned in upon it and kept in a constant motion treading it under foot till the grain is completely freed from the stalk. ,kuppalu noorchadam = thrash out the heaps. . Nooru = one hundred . .
