SOME DOUBTS AND ANSWERS REGARDING SPOKEN ENGLISH




 Q - which of the following is correct?

he is the leader / a leader of the class.

ANSWER - here, ' he is the leader of the class ' is correct. because a class has only one leader.

children/the children are playing.

ANSWER  - children/the children - both are correct ,depending on whether you are referring to any group of children or a particular group of children.

e.g. a ) don't drive in to the grounds.children are playing there.
b.) the school has good play ground - look , the children ( of this school ) are playing there.

group of school / groups of schools/group of schools.

' group of schools ' and 'groups of schools 'are correct . ' group of schools ' = a number of schools of one group. ' groups of schools = a number of schools belonging to different groups. ( e.g. goutham group of schools, vignan group of schools etc. )

Q - ten marks are given/is given

A - ten marks are given is correct

Q - explain the usage of though, ,although,even though.

A - though = although = even though.
