IKA TO ITU

Ika = again , in future ..,ikameeda = hence forward ,hereafter ,in future
Ikkada = here ,in this place, ..,ikkada nunchi = from hence
Ikilinchadam = to grin ,to show the teeth..,ikilimpu = a grin..
Igaradam = to exhale , to exhaust ,to dry up ,applied to water r any other liquid
Igarchadam ,chigarchadam ,chigurinchadam = to bud , to shoot forth young leaves ..
Iguru = a young leaf ,just shot forth ..,iguru koora = curry made with young leaves ,with out any sour in it..
Ichchakam = flattery ,weedling ,coaxing....,ichchakapu matalaadadam = to cajole ,to weedle..
Ijaafaa = a revenue term ,signifying overplus or increase of revenue .it is also used on common occasions..
ijaaraa = a revenue term ,signifying a rent or farm ..,ijaaraadaarudu = a renter or farmer
Ijaaru = this word is adopted from the hindusthani for what we term long drawers ,in which gentlemen generally sleep and in this dress the dancing women sometimes dance ,but principally those of the mohammadan state..
Itike ,ituka = a brick ..ituka aavam = a brick -kiln..

YAGNAM TO YAAVATHTHU

Yagnam = this is the name given to a particular festival held by the brahmins ,at which sheep are killed by being smothered ,so that no blood be split in the act . the meat is afterwards prepared and given ,in the smallest quantity by the officiating priests ,to those who engage in the ceremony ,gets the appellation of somiaazulu.this ceremony was performed by the ratsawaars and banians ,as well as by the brahmins ,about two or three hundred years ago ,but it is now only customary with brahmins..
