YAGNAM TO YAAVATHTHU

Yagnam = this is the name given to a particular festival held by the brahmins ,at which sheep are killed by being smothered ,so that no blood be split in the act . the meat is afterwards prepared and given ,in the smallest quantity by the officiating priests ,to those who engage in the ceremony ,gets the appellation of somiaazulu.this ceremony was performed by the ratsawaars and banians ,as well as by the brahmins ,about two or three hundred years ago ,but it is now only customary with brahmins..
Yathnam = intention , design ,purpose ,effort
Yadaartham ,nijam = the truth ,real ,fact
Yavvanam = youth
yaagaani ,yegaani = half of a dub or as much as ten cash
Yaatham ,yetham = this is the name given to the machinary erected by the indians for watering gardens and fields ,commonly called a pakotta ,to the southward ..
Yaabhai = fifty ..,yabhayyodi = the fiftieth
Yaala ,yela ,yenduku = why..,wherefore
yaalakulu ,yelakulu,ilaichilu = cardamom seeds
yaavaththu = wholly ,entirely ,altogether
