GOOTAM TO GOOBA

Gootam = a wooden mallet..
Gooda = this is the name of a hollow shaped matting ,having strings tied to each end ,by which two people take hold and lift water out of any tank or reservoir into a field ,or from a lower field into higher.
Goodu = a bird's nest ..,pitta goodu = this word also means the small receptacles, formed in the walls of the houses in india.This word is also applied to the jonnalu or maize when heaped before it is thrashed.
Goona = a large earthen vessel used by washers ,and also in family houses..= baana
Goonu = a hunch or unevenness ..karraku goonulu = bumps in wood...,gooni vadu = a man with a hunch-back.
Gooba = the drum of the ear ,the proper name for an owl, more generally called ..gudla gooba..
